Dr Wendy Liew is a Paediatrician and Child Neurologist with over 18 years of clinical experience. Besides caring for newborns as well as common childhood illnesses, she is an expert in managing children with neurological diseases, such as epilepsy (seizures), headache and neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis, spinal muscular atrophy and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Dr Liew is an expert in the area of paediatric neuromuscular disorders and has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles in international journals. She has presented at various local and international meetings and was awarded the Young Investigator Award at the Asian-Oceanian Myology Centre Annual Scientific Meeting in Thailand in 2015. She was also the recipient of the National Medical Research Council’s New Investigator Grant.
She graduated from University of Glasgow with MBChB, and completed her Paediatrics training in SingHealth. She was awarded the Ministry of Health’s Health Manpower Development Award to pursue specialist training in Paediatric Neuromuscular Disease at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA. Dr Wendy Liew previously worked at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH) and SBCC Healthway Medical (Paragon, Orchard Road).
Dr Wendy Liew is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK), Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and Member of the American Academy of Neurology.
